BEN MORRIS DESIGN PROFILE
Hello, and warm greetings to my personal design profile - a platform designed not only to showcase; but also dig a little deeper in the explanation and motivation behind my work.

I am am a dedicated Product Design student, level 4, at Duncan of Jordanstone of Art and Design, Dundee. Please feel free to contact me about any opportunities or questions you may have about what you find.
DESIGN IN MOTION
PHYSICAL PROTOTYPING
The ability to create something completely from scratch is a fundamental asset that any effective designer requires. Prototyping is the classic tool that helps us to initiate and evolve ideas. This is a skill I take great pride in. It remains one of my soul inspirations, and enables me to constantly explore and develop ideas. It lies at the heart of Product Design, and myself personally.
TECHNICAL ABILITY
I have a great passion for CAD. Consolidation in industry standard software (such as Solidworks) has allowed me to realise concepts in a new light. It provides the opportunity to critically evaluate the physical nature of features. Skill in HQ digital rendering and exploded animation also helps greatly to showcase and contextualise work.
STRENGTH IN TEAM
It is essential to be able to work with other designers in a professional manner, in order to ensure the success of any team. I take great pleasure in working amongst a group, it allows the contribution of different skills and techniques, and in most cases, you can learn a lot from the collaboration experience. I take care in ensuring my team knows their goals and our roles - this is the key to progression.
IDEATION
I now have great experience in this stage of the design process. Where there is often confusion and/or doubts about the direction of the project - I follow different creative thinking processes that help to path the wave of ideas. Skills in both rough ideation sketches and higher quality rendering greatly help to push this process.
