FUTURE DIALOGUES
CLIO - 'WE ALL HAVE A STORY'
This project was all about the potential of voice. Understanding its raw/ natural power - and how it can drive a distinct or even abstract message.
CLIO was a product that highlighted social awareness. Dementia is a growing concern amongst our older generation. We set to create something that would enable the consumer to help express information through a combination of 'real-time images'. As the person spoke, CLIO would start to map out the story on screen, enabling them to save for later use. It is modern day, therapeutic story-telling.
SCREEN DESIGN
SOLVING A SOCIAL PROBLEM
CLIO is purely conceptual - but the premise is powerful. The ability for technology to understand what is being said, and then mapped in an interesting way. Bringing the stories to life - and archiving them for future generations.
I took the lead on screen design. I wanted to create something sleek and simple as possible - its sophistication lies with its ability. By loosing its simple physical message - would loose its key foundation of abstract communication. The screen is designed to fit in the consumers hands like a cosy book - I wanted to remove the alienation surrounding its technology. After all, it is often quickly judged and set aside. I wanted all memorable experiences to occur during its use.
